Fort Clatsop

Bohemia Mining Days celebrates Cottage Grove's colorful history. The town went all out to celebrate the centennial of Oregon statehood in 1959. In fact, Grovers and their guests had so much fun that year, a group of civic-minded individuals determined there should be an annual celebration highlighting Cottage Grove's interesting past and Bohemia Mining Days was born! The family-friendly festival is organized by a board of community-minded volunteers who work closely with the Festival Coordinator throughout the year to ensure this annual summer tradition lives on for future generations to enjoy.

Bohemia Gold Mining Museum

The Bohemia Gold Mining Museum is located in Cottage Grove's National Historic District. The museum is a living and expanding memorial to all miners, and to the rich history of gold mining activities in the Bohemia Mining District. The museum's collection of photographs, tools, ore samples, and other artifacts pays tribute to the area's gold mining history. The museum is dedicated to the memory of Guy Leabo, a long-time area miner with a passion to preserve the history of the Bohemia Mining District. Many of the artifacts in the museum were donated from his personal collection.
